American football wide receiver Josh Bellamy has been arrested for allegedly using government funds intended to be used to support businesses hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former New York Jets star is said to have been involved in a scheme that saw him and his conspirators squander $24 million.
The 31-year-old and his cohorts reportedly applied for the money in PPP loans, originally meant for businesses that were sinking as a result of the pandemic.
