Ghana's Northern Regional FA will gather delegates at Aliu Mahama Stadium on 23 October to map out the road to the 2026/27 campaign.
Northern Ghana's football leaders are heading into the new season with governance front and centre. The Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) has fixed Friday, 23 October 2026 for its Ordinary Congress, with proceedings set to begin at 09:00 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Delegates, club representatives and other stakeholders from across the region are expected to attend. As the highest decision-making body of the Association, the Congress gives members the chance to look back at the season just ended and settle the key questions before the next one kicks off.
The agenda is packed with the essentials. Delegates will consider the Activity Report, the Financial Statements and the Auditor's Report, along with the proposed budget for the new campaign. A full review of the previous season is also on the table, alongside discussions on the competitions calendar, football development programmes and wider issues affecting the administration of the game in the region.
The meeting also gives the Executive Council, led by NRFA Chairman Alhaji Abu-Hassan, a platform to update clubs and stakeholders on progress made over the past year. Members are also expected to discuss the challenges facing grassroots football in the region, the foundation on which the northern game is built.
