Osimhen Draws Positives from Galatasaray’s Draw with AZ Alkmaar

Victor Osimhen expressed optimism following Galatasaray’s 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

The Dutch side took an early lead through Sven Mijnans in the second minute, but Osimhen equalized for the visitors just before halftime, securing his second Europa League goal of the season.

Reflecting on the match, the Nigerian forward praised his team’s performance despite falling short of victory.

“Obviously we had a good performance. The team we faced is also a good team. I think they were very successful individually and as a team,” Osimhen told the club website

“We created a lot of chances, we could have scored the second goal. I think we need to take the positive side, this is a point.”

Osimhen also acknowledged the unwavering support of Galatasaray fans. “ I also want to thank our fans very much, they did not leave us alone in this weather and supported us throughout the 90 minutes,” he added.

The result keeps Galatasaray in contention as they continue their Europa League campaign.
