Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the former Olympique Marseille striker, has officially joined Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League.
The 35-year-old Gabonese international signed a two-year deal with the Saudi club after leaving Marseille.
Aubameyang's move to Al-Qadsiah marks the end of his career in European football, where he played for several top-tier clubs, including Dijon, Lille, Monaco, Saint-Étienne, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Marseille.
The Saudi League side announced the signing on July 18, 2024, with journalist Fabrizio Romano revealing that Aubameyang's contract runs until 2026. Although details of the transfer have not been released, Marseille is expected to receive a fee between €9m and €10m for the departure of their starting striker.
Aubameyang will reportedly earn €20m per season with his new club, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Saudi Pro League.
He joins other high-profile signings at Al-Qadsiah, including Nacho Fernandez, Koen Casteels, Nahitan Nández, and Julian Quinones.
The striker's decision to join Al-Qadsiah comes after an impressive debut season with Marseille, where he scored 30 goals in all competitions.
