Share

NFL superstar Kenny Stills was arrested on Tuesday after joining hundreds of others in a protest in Louisville.

The 28-year-old participated in a demonstration at the home of Kentucky's Attorney General and now faces a felony charge.

ESPN reports that Stills was charged with intimidating a participant in the legal process.

The Houston Texas wide receiver later took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share a photo of his mugshot.

“Good trouble” with my brothers and sisters- organized by @untilfreedom. Arrested for peacefully protesting. While Breonnas Taylor’s murderers are still out on the street,” he tweeted.

Many have been protesting  over the death of Breonna Taylor, a Black emergency medical technician, was shot eight times in Louisville on March 13 by police officers.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has come under fire from residents for not charging any of the three officers involved in Taylor’s killing.

Stills reportedly offered to cover the costs of protesters to travel to Frankfort, Kentucky to join the protests.

Aside from being charged with felony, he was also slapped with charges of misdemeanor disorderly and criminal trespassing, but was released on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Stills’ agent Ray Williams slammed officials over the arrest of the wide receiver.

“@KSTiLLS has officially spent more time in jail fighting for justice than the known killers who killed Breonna Taylor,” he tweeted.
