Formula 1 superstar Sebastian Vettel is set to leave Ferrari to join Racing Point, a team that will soon be renamed, Aston Martin.
This comes after Ferrari disclosed earlier this year that they weren’t going to extend the contract of the four-time world champion.
The 33-year-old will, therefore, replace Sergio Perez when he officially joins Aston Martin in 2021.
In a statement, the team described the signing of Vettel as "a clear statement of the team's ambition".
Aston Martin did not confirm the length of the contract signed but said Vettel had signed for "2021 and beyond".
An excited Vettel said of the move: "It's a new adventure for me with a truly legendary car company.”
