The ex-Detroit Pistons guard Spencer Dinwiddie shocked the basketball world when he created a GoFundMe page that would allow fans to make a financial donation in order to help him decide his next NBA team.
If the goal of raising $24, 632, 630 was met, the fans would have determined the 27-year-old’s next destination and he would have signed a one-year deal with that team. However, if the fundraising fell short, Dinwiddie would have donated all the money to charity.
But Dinwiddie failed to meet the mark, and Ian Begley of SNY, reports that Dinwiddie was already expecting the campaign to flop.
