South African giants Sundowns became the first to reach the African Champions League quarters after claiming a 1-0 home win over Congolese side TP Mazembe on Tuesday.
Winger Lebohang Maboe scored the winner in the 28th minute, firing his side for the competition's last eight.
The 2016 African champions are now leading Group B with 12 points from four games, nine points ahead of second place Al-Hilal of Sudan, while TP Mazembe lie at the bottom of the group with two points.
In Group C, Moroccan side Wydad De Casablanca cemented their position in the group summit after their goalless draw - away from home - to Guinean side Horroya FC.
Wydad are on the group driving seat with ten points, five points ahead Horroya and Kaizer Chiefs who both have five points.
