Medeama boss Ibrahim Tanko says defender Ebenezer Adade is fine and focused after his heated run-in with Kotoko's Diogo Peral.
The Ghana Premier League has had its share of touchline drama this season, and Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko says the latest flashpoint is now firmly in the past. Defender Ebenezer Adade, he insists, is in good shape and ready to move on after his confrontation with Asante Kotoko assistant coach Diogo Peral.
The incident came during Medeama's league trip to Kumasi last weekend. Adade went after a loose ball near Kotoko's technical area, and what followed was a heated altercation in which Peral appeared to strike the defender. Peral was sent off, and Kotoko later fined him internally.
Tanko says he has spoken with his player about what happened and has already addressed the matter publicly. "We spoke about it," he said, adding that the club has put it behind them and is now fully locked in on the next game.
That game is a Matchday 10 home fixture against Swedru All Blacks at the TNA Stadium on Sunday, November 8. The Mauve and Yellow will be hungry to get back to winning ways after their last outing, and with the noise around Adade settled, Tanko will want his side's attention squarely on the pitch.
