The Philadelphia 76ers denied Steph Curry in his pursuit for the all-time 3-pointers record

The Philadelphia 76ers seemed to have found the right path once again as they hosted the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night in their Wells Fargo Centre. Philly clinched onto the final victory, 102:93, after great defence against Steph Curry throughout the whole game. The Warriors took a 13-point lead in the 3rd Quarter, but were unable to keep this advantage. The 76ers seized their opportunities in the last minutes of the match to close out the game in high fashion. Joel Embiid led the way for Philadelphia with 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Jordan Poole was the most valuable player on the court for the Warriors with his 23 points. Steph Curry had a disappointing night, finishing off with 18 points on 6-20 shooting. He managed to drain just three buckets from long distance out of 14 attempts. Otto Porter Jr. went for 2-9 from the field as he further contributed for Golden State's loss. With these three successful attempts from deep, Steph Curry is now six 3-pointers away from tying Ray Allen. The Heat and Celtics' shooting guard finished off his career in 2014 with 2,973 sunk shots from beyond the arc. Curry will try to surpass him in his next game as the Warriors continue their road trip in Indiana. The Philadelphia 76ers are off to a slightly tougher task as they head to Memphis for a single away game. The team is still in the mix, sitting in 6th place with 15 wins and 12 losses. The Golden State Warriors keep their 2nd place in the West with a 21-5 record.
