The San Antonio Spurs shock the Golden State Warriors in an electrifying contest at Chase Center

{{unknown}}
The game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night in the NBA ended in a highly dramatic fashion. The Spurs took a demanding lead early on in the match as they went for a 17-0 run in the first quarter. San Antonio's lead was expanded to 22 points in the second quarter. The team led by the legendary Gregg Popovich managed to keep a decent advantage throughout the third part of the game. However, an icy fourth quarter from the Spurs evened things up. The Warriors erased an 11-point deficit. Their 18-4 run gave them the lead 106:103 with 2 minutes on the clock. In the end, the San Antonio Spurs came up clutch in the most important moments of the match. After a missed free throw from Keldon Johnson, Lonnie Walker IV grabbed an offensive rebound and passed to Derrick White who sank a 3-pointer to give the Spurs the lead. A turnover from Draymond Green and a missed shot from beyond the arc by Stephen Curry were the final nail in the coffin for the Warriors. Dejounte Murray and Derrick White dropped the last buckets for the final 112:107 in favour of the San Antonio Spurs. Steph Curry had a rough night in Chase Centre, finishing off with 27 points on 25% shooting from the field. Derrick White and Dejounte Murray led the way for the Spurs with 25 points and 23 points respectively. Lonnie Walker IV had a fantastic night as he shot 7-13 from the field and dropped 21 points. The victory gave the Spurs a bit more space to breathe as they are 12th in the West with 8 wins and 13 losses. Moreover, they are enjoying a 4-game winning streak at the moment. On Monday, they will put up to a big test against the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Centre. The Warriors remain on top of the table with a 19-4 record. As a whole, they have an easy schedule ahead of them as they host the Orlando Magic in the next game. [embed]https://twitter.com/spurs/status/1467339676688265220[/embed]
