Timberwolves advance to the Western Conference Finals with 98-90 win over Denver in Game 7

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a stunning comeback in Game 7, overcoming a 20-point second-half deficit to defeat the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets 98-90.

This marks the largest halftime deficit overcome in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history. Anthony Edwards, who struggled early, finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, despite shooting just 6-of-24 from the field and 2-of-10 from three-point range. His impact on the game went beyond his shooting numbers, as he played a crucial role in the Timberwolves' second-half surge.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaden McDaniels led the Timberwolves with 23 points each, as the team advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 20 years. They will face the Dallas Mavericks in the next round, starting on Wednesday night at Target Center.

The Nuggets, led by Jamal Murray's 24 first-half points, built a 53-38 halftime lead and extended their advantage to 20 points in the third quarter. However, the Timberwolves' defense stiffened, and their offense came alive, outscoring Denver 60-37 in the second half. The Nuggets became the fifth consecutive defending champion to fail to reach the conference finals.

Their matchup against the Mavericks promises to be an exciting series, with both teams boasting talented rosters and a hunger for success.
