Tunisian Mohamed Khalil Jendoubi won the bronze medal in the under-58kg taekwondo weight class, defeating Spain's Vicente Adrian, at the Paris 2024™ Olympic Games on Wednesday.
This is the second medal for Al-Jandoubi (22 years old) in the Olympic Games after the silver medal in the same weight in the Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2021, and the second for his country in the current edition after the silver medal for fencer Fares Farjani in the sword category.
Jendoubi played four matches on Wednesday, winning the first in the round of 16 against Serbian Lev Korneev 2-0 (5-3 and 9-3), and the second in the quarter-finals against Australian Bailey Lewis 2-0 (7-4 and 6-3).
