UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz prepares to run for City Council

Share

MMA’s Tito Ortiz has launched his political career and wants to become a City Council member in Huntington Beach.

The 45-year-old is serious about occupying one of the three seats on the City Council when the elections come up in November.

Ortuz was born and raised in Huntington Beach and has over the years acquainted himself with politicians, including Donald Trump.

He is actually friends with the United States President and has openly backed Trump’s positions on border security, immigration and law enforcement.

TMZ Sports reports that after mulling over a career change for a while, Ortiz is now set to be on the ballot for the Huntington Beach City Council elections.

The UFC Hall of Famer was previously considering the idea of becoming a law enforcement officer but ditched it.

The City Council is the city’s legislative authority and sets the policies under which the city operates.

It is also worthy to note that every year the Huntington Beach mayor is selected from among the sitting council members.
