Virgil Abloh dies of cancer at age 41

The LVMH, Louis Vuitton and Off White brands confirmed the death of Virgil Abloh on Sunday, November 28. The superstar designer has died of cancer, LVMH said in a statement signed by Bernard Arnault, which state “he had fought in private for years”.

A Chicago native, Abloh was the son of Ghanaian immigrants, Abloh earned degrees in civil engineering and architecture and worked his way up through the fashion world ranks. He began with designing T-shirts at a Chicago print shop. He later partnered with Kanye West, became an artistic director at Louis Vuitton, and started his own label, Off-White. His style effortlessly marries high fashion with streetwear.
