Sherif Mohammed Iddrisu's brace and a Setsifia Aqetey strike fired Vision FC out of the drop zone and ended a six-match winless run in Ghana.
Ghana Premier League Week 8 brought a statement from Vision FC. They ended a six-match winless streak with a 3-1 away win over Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf, and the victory lifts them out of the relegation zone.
The visitors won it before the break. Sherif Mohammed Iddrisu opened the scoring in the 12th minute, and Setsifia Aqetey doubled the lead five minutes later. Iddrisu then added his second in the 26th minute, leaving Dreams with a three-goal deficit and plenty of questions at the interval.
It could have been worse for the hosts. Aqetey had a chance to make it 4-0, but Dreams goalkeeper Ransford Sarkodie made a timely save to keep the damage down. Dreams did pull one back through an own goal by Ibrahim Larbi, but it was only a consolation and never threatened to bring them back into the contest.
The defeat is the fifth of the season for the Still Believe, who stay at the bottom of the table and urgently need a response. Vision FC, by contrast, have momentum and confidence. Next up is a home game against league debutants Port City, and they will want to build on this performance.
