Eric Wiafe Darkwah scored and took Man of the Match as Swedru All Blacks won 2-0 to make it two straight wins in the Ghana Premier League.
Ghana's young talent is lighting up the Premier League, and Swedru All Blacks attacker Eric Wiafe Darkwah is leading the charge. On Sunday at the Swedru Stadium, he scored and was named Man of the Match as his side beat Karela United 2-0 in week seven.
After the final whistle, Wiafe Darkwah put the result down to the collective. "I want to thank God for the win. I'm very happy today. We won because of teamwork," he said, deflecting the spotlight from his own display.
He also pointed to the win over Kotoko in the previous round as the turning point. Beating one of the biggest names in Ghanaian football has clearly lifted spirits in the camp, and the forward said the squad's confidence has grown since.
Two wins on the bounce have moved Swedru All Blacks up to seventh in the table with eleven points. Next, they will look for a third straight victory when they take on Young Apostles, with Wiafe Darkwah and his teammates hoping to keep the momentum going.
