In a groundbreaking move and season for Women's soccer on the continent. South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns beat Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana 2 - 0 making history and winning the first ever women's Africa Champions league in Ciaro.

The game proved to be a Bundeslega type of balance with both teams creating and maintaining possession throughout. Chances were few and far in between. That all changed in the 65th minute when the South Africans took to the board when Mgcoyi got on the end of a cross from Nonhlanhla Mthandi beating the Ghanian captain Janet Egyir.

The Ghanian team only had one real chance on a free kick in the 76th minute ,but Perpetual Agyekum's goal was saved by the South African keeper Andile Dlamini and pushed over the bar.

Chuene Morifi also find out the back of the net with a flick in that gave the South Africans the 2-0 advantage.

Sundowns held on for the historic win despite playing the last few minutes with 10 women after Regina Magolola was shown a straight red card just moments after having come on as a substitute.
