World’s Fastest Roller Coaster has been put on Pause After Riders Suffer Broken Bones

Share

The World’s fastest roller coaster is being put on hold after several riders suffered broken bones while on the ride, according to reports from Vice World.

Do-Dodonpa is a roller coaster that is based in Japan, and can reach “super death” speed. It can go from a net zero to 112 miles per hour ( 180 kilometres per hour) in 1.56 seconds. Since December 2020, four people have people have sustained neck and back injuries because of it, which reportedly would be in their 30s to 50s.

Naoya Miyasato, believes the issue could be due to the literal breakneck acceleration, which could be similar to what astronauts experience when a rocket launch.

Reports so far seem to believe that the injuries could be due to the way the riders were sitting. In this case, employees from the Amusement park have to step it up and provide clear indication.
