Ghana's Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim netted a 66th-minute leveller to snatch Hong Kong Rangers a 1-1 draw with David Silva's Shatin.
Ghanaian forward Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim kept his scoring touch alive in Asia, firing Hong Kong Rangers level in a 1-1 draw with Shatin in the Hong Kong Premier League at Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground.
The first half passed without a goal, but the game came alive after the break. Shatin went ahead in the 56th minute when former Manchester City and Spain midfielder David Silva stepped up and converted a penalty to give the hosts the lead.
Rangers did not wait long to hit back. Ten minutes later, Ibrahim found his moment, finishing across Shatin goalkeeper Bryan Lau Wai-hon to restore parity in the 66th minute.
Both teams chased a winner in the closing stages, but neither could find the decisive blow, and the points were shared after an entertaining second-half contest.
The equaliser takes Ibrahim to two goals in eight appearances for Hong Kong Rangers this season. He has yet to register an assist, but the Ghanaian is making his goals count for his side.
