Barcelona have reportedly agreed to a €12 million deal with Ligue 1 side Rennes for defender Mikayil Faye.
The defender is scheduled to fly out to France on Friday to finalize the deal. Faye’s transfer also includes a 25% sell-on clause and a buy-back clause set at €35 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Faye has been linked with a transfer all summer, with a host of clubs interested in signing the youngster.
Rennes now appears to have won the race for his signature, but Barca still has some control of his future due to the buy-back clause.
The €12m transfer fee is also another financial boost to the club at a time when they are scrambling to complete transfers in a bid to register Dani Olmo.
Faye is therefore set to join Ilkay Gundogan and Vitor Roque in leaving the club this week, with more exits expected before the transfer window closes.
