Barcelona have completed deals to sign Ibrahim ‘Kaka’ Diarra (18 in December) and Arouna Traoré (17) from Academie Africa Foot from Mali, Fabrizio Romano affirms.
The club confirmed in a post on X that the two players were heading to Catalunya: “Our two players, Arouna Traoré and Ibrahim Diarra, are flying off for a sports stay at FC Barcelona. They are accompanied by our 1st Vice-president, Mr Seydou Diallo. A great adventure begins.”
Upon their arrival in Barcelona, they will immediately join La Masia.
Ibrahim Diarra, nicknamed after Brazil legend Kaka, is an unbalanced right-winger who can also play in midfield. The 17-year-old could be the next big thing from La Masia.
Arouna Traoré is also 17 and is considered one of the strongest strikers of his age.
Romano says both youngsters are travelling to Barcelona today.
