Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayden reserved special praise for Raphael Onyedika despite his team’s defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
The Belgian Pro League champions lost 3-0 at home to the visitors.
Despite Brugge’s defeat, Onyedika was outstanding, with Hayden appreciating his performance.
“I’m happy. Man of the match is an exaggeration, but if you see the impact he had… Both in possession and in loss of possession, he is a very important player for us at the moment. He makes other players better,” Hayden told reporters.
Club Brugge will return to action in a league game against KAA Gent on Sunday.
They will travel to Sturm Graz for their next league game on Wednesday, October 2.
