Cristiano Ronaldo has become the highest scoring Portuguese footballer in the Serie A following his goal against Bologna.
The 35-year-old netted his 22nd league goal of the season as the Old Lady coasted to a 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday.
The former Manchester United star neatly converted from the penalty to put Juve in front, before Paulo Dybala doubled the lead for Maurizio Sarri’s men.
Ronaldo’s goal saw him overtake Rui Costa to become the leading Portuguese scorer in Serie A history.
He has now netted 43 league goals since making a big money move from Real Madrid to Juventus.
Rui Costa, on the other hand, netted 42 times in Serie A during his 12-year stay in Italy, lining up for Fiorentina and AC Milan.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is also the leading Portuguese scorer in the history of the Premier League and La Liga.
He scored 84 goals in 196 appearances while with Manchester United and also netted 311 times in 292 appearances for Real Madrid.
The win over Bologna send Juventus four points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
