UFC President Dana White has disclosed that Fight Island will open on July 11, 2020.
According to him, there will also be top-of-the-line facilities and an octagon on the beach.
Speaking on TMZ live, he expressed worry that the fantasy of Fight Island may “eclipse the reality of Fight Island.”
“The fighters are not going to walk out lined up with tiki torches on the side. I will not be sitting in a big thrown overseeing the octagon and watching the fight,” he said.

Giving more details, Dana said a “very cool” arena has been prepared to hosts the fights, adding that fighters will also have a private space to train.
“We actually have an arena. We built a little arena there that’s very, very cool … The fighters will have their own private places to train. And, there will be an octagon on the beach too!” he added.
In another development, though, UFC 250 comes off on Saturday, with Amanda Nunes set to take on Felicia Spencer.
