Cousins’ All-Star career has been derailed by injuries since he tore his Achilles with the Pelicans, a quad injury with the Golden State Warriors and his ACL injury during the offseason as an LA Laker.
The Lakers went on to win the NBA championship last month.
In 565 career games (543 starts), Cousins has averaged 21.2 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. He is a four-time All-Star, last earning the honour in 2018.
Houston have made the playoffs in eight consecutive seasons, but are seemingly set for a rebuild with James Harden and Russell Westbrook reportedly seeking trades.
