NBA star Dwight Howard has fallen victim to the NBA’s “snitch hotline” after being spotted not wearing a face mask.
The 34-year-old said he received a warning after an anonymous person called the “snitch hotline” to report him.
The NBA has instituted rules that govern players and officials after their relocation to a biosecure “bubble” at Disney World, Orlando ahead of the restart of the season.
To this end, players inside the “bubble” are required to wear face masks when they step out of their rooms.
This is part of measures to ensure that the Coronavirus does not spread, should in find its way into where the players are camping.
The NBA, therefore, set up an anonymous tip line for persons to report any player or official spotted going contrary to the protocols.
LA Lakers center Howard revealed in an Instagram live that he was one of several players who have been reported for not wearing masks.
“Somebody told on me,” the eight-time All-Star said.
