Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet led Egypt to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Burkina Faso at Cairo International Stadium, solidifying their position atop Group A with nine points.
Trezeguet’s impressive brace came in the fourth and eighth minutes, with assists from Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Sayed (Zizou).
The first goal came when Trezeguet initiated an offensive attack, sending a cross ball into the penalty area. The Burkina Faso defense dispersed it, reaching Mohamed Salah, who sent a cross back to Trezeguet. Who struck a wonderful header into the upper left corner of the goal, putting Egypt in the lead.

In other Group A matches, Guinea-Bissau drew with Ethiopia, while Sudan secured a crucial win over Mauritania with goals from Saif Al-Din Malik Bakhit and Ali Obaid.
The victory raised Sudan’s tally to seven points at the top of Group B, two points ahead of Senegal, which tied with the Democratic Republic of the Congo 1-1.
The Libyan team raised its score to seven points in Group D by defeating the Mauritius team 2-1.
