Hagos Gebrhiwet’s storming run, becoming the 2nd fastest man in the history of the men’s 5000m at the Oslo Diamond League!

At the Diamond League meeting in Oslo, Norway, Gebrhiwet completed the race in a remarkable 12 minutes, 36.73 seconds, just 1.37 seconds shy of Olympic champion Joshua Cheptegei’s world record.

Gebrhiwet’s impressive performance was marked by a blistering final lap of 54.99 seconds, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. 

This achievement solidifies his position among the all-time greats in the 5,000 meters race. With this remarkable feat, Gebrhiwet has etched his name in the annals of athletics history.
