History has been made – Steph Curry is now the player with most 3-pointers in the NBA

It’s official! Steph Curry managed to rewrite history yet once again. He became the NBA player with most 3-pointers made snatching away the 1st place from the legendary Ray Allen. And what a better place to host this moment than the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York? The Warriors’ point guard needed just two successful shots from beyond the arc to surpass Ray Allen. Steph Curry helped his team overcome a tough and strong New York Knicks’ roster. The best 3-point shooter of all-time finished off the game with 22 points, 3 rebound, and 3 assists. He ended up the night on a 8-19 shooting, successfully draining 5 shots from deep range. 31 points and 7 rebounds from Julius Randle wasn’t enough for his team to surprise Golden State.

With his newly-added five 3-point buckets, Steph Curry now has 2,978 successful shots from beyond the arc. From now on, he will only extend the lead on top, making it near impossible to be surpassed anytime soon. He has made the Warriors title contenders once again and with the return of Klay Thompson, the team will become a top favourite to life the NBA Championship. Golden State remains 1st in the Western Conference with a 23-5 record. They will go on two more games away from home against the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors. Then, right before Christmas the Warriors will return home for the matches against the Kings and the Grizzlies. The most anticipated game for the rest of December will be on December 25th when they will face the Phoenix Suns in Footprint Centre, Arizona.
