Joakim Noah is set to join the Los Angeles Clippers for the continuation of the 2019-20 NBA season.
Noah previously signed a 10-day deal with the Clippers in March, but contributed very little as the NBA season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 35-year-old’s contact is, however, set to expire on Tuesday (June 23, 2020), but an extension is on the cards.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Noah will be handed a fresh deal which would see him stay with the Clippers till the end of the season.
The transaction is expected to take place once the NBA’s transfer window opens next week.
Noah has previously lined up for the likes of Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and the Memphis Grizzles.
The big man is also a former Defensive Player of the Year and will be expected to make a an impact for the Clippers for the rest of the season.
The NBA transaction window will reportedly be opened for one week between June 23 and 30.
