Liverpool have confirmed Joe Gomez has undergone successful knee surgery after suffering an injury in England training yesterday.
The 23-year-old defender was in immediate pain after pulling up in the session at St George’s Park, with manager Gareth Southgate revealing nobody was around him.
In an update on their official website, Liverpool have said Gomez’s surgery to repair a tendon in his left knee has gone well and there was no damage done to his ligaments.
