The Philadelphia 76ers have struggled throughout the past couple of weeks, since Joel Embiid has been sidelined due to Covid-19 issues. He has last played for his team against the Chicago Bulls on November 7. During his absence, Philly won just 2 out of 9 games and dropped down to the middle of the table. The team desperately needed him to come back, but they still had to give him enough time to recover.
In his return yesterday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the “Process” performed like he had never contracted Covid-19. He dropped 42 points and added 14 rebounds on a 12-23 shooting. However, the Cameroonian’s efforts were not enough as his team suffered yet another loss, 120:121 after overtime.

He opened in front of the press and said some concerning things after almost fully recovering from Covid-19.
“That jawn hit me hard”, he answered on a question he was asked about the virus.
“I mean, I really thought I wasn’t going to make it. It was that bad so I’m just thankful to be sitting here. I struggled with it but I’m just glad I got over it. That I’m just here doing what I love with some good people.”
Joel Embiid’s return game, however, didn’t show up any bad signs in terms of side effects from Covid-19. He displayed such a performance that is expected from him and his fans should not be too worry about it and just trust the process. The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference with 10 wins and 10 losses and they will need to put in some hard work to climb back to the top where they belong.
