Former Super Eagle defender, Joseph Yobo has been appointed by Nigeria Football Federation as assistant coach of the Nigeria Senior team.
Former Nigeria captain was confirmed as an assistant to Gernot Rohr’s after the sacking of Amapakobo Imama. He was Nigerian captain until his international football retirement in June 2014.
Yobo played 101 international matches for Super Eagles and represented the country in three different world cup.
At club level, he played for Standard Liege in Belgium, Marseille in France, Everton in England , Fenerbahce in Turkey and Norwich City in England.
