NBA star LeBron James was quick to remind everyone to vote following a keenly contested Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The Los Angeles Lakers veteran is a known supporter of Biden and has often taken a swipe at President Trump.
James took to Twitter to urge his followers to endeavour to vote while tagging More Than A Vote in his tweet.
More Than A Vote is a group “of Black athletes and artists who came together amid the protests fueled by the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor by police.”
PLEASE VOTE!!!!!🗳 @morethanavote

The group aims to “educate, energize and protect Black voters” in the United States (US).
James and many other NBA stars are part of the group, including CJ McCollum, Ben Simmons, Damian Lillard, Draymond Green, Kyle Lowry, and Trae Young.
“Please vote,” he succinctly tweeted after the Presidential debate between President Trump and Biden on Tuesday.
Speaking to the New York Times some time back, James revealed what inspired the formation of the More Than a Vote group.
“I’m inspired by the likes of Muhammad Ali, I’m inspired by the Bill Russells and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbars, the Oscar Robertsons – those guys who stood when the times were even way worse than they are today,” he explained.
“Hopefully, someday down the line, people will recognize me not only for the way I approached the game of basketball but the way I approached life as an African-American man.”
