Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed that Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, did not suffer any major injury in Saturday’s car accident.
Boniface’s Mercedes Benz collided with an oncoming truck on the A3 road between Bad Camberg and Idstein, while on his way to the airport to pick up his friends.
Leverkusen, via Bild, confirmed that the Nigeria international escaped any bad injuries though he did not train on Monday but was present with the team.
The reigning German champions also noted that the forward sustained two minor injuries to his hand while damage suffered to his car will cost €200,000.
The 23-year-old scored the winning goal in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday but it is not yet clear if he will train again on Tuesday and be available for selection in their away Champions League fixture against Brest on Wednesday.
