Defending champions of the British Basketball League (BBL), London Lions has added another shooting talent to their club, after the signing 26-year old Angolan ex-international guard, Edmir Lucas.
The Lions who are currently top of the BBL standings landed the dual citizenship professional basketball player from London City Royals.
The Angolan who holds Portuguese passport left the London City Royals to join the London rivals on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
In three games, Lucas averaged 14.3 Points Per Game (PPG), 2.0 Rebounds Per Game (RPG) and 3.3 Assists Per Game (APG) this season.
The helped the City Royals to reach the finals of last season’s BBL, where he scored in 32 games, had 9.9 PPG, 2.6 RPG and 2.3 APG.
Lucas won Angolan League championship title in 2016 and represented Angola at the Lusofonia Games in Goa (India) six years ago.
The shooter who can stroke and score in bunches previously played professionally in Angola, having a stint with the 1 De Agosto and Petro de Luanda, respectively.
Lucas started his career with the Westminster Warriors in the United Kingdom and won the 2018/19 BBL trophy with the Royals.
