Goalkeeper for Rayo Vallecano, Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca played his very first La Liga match this Sunday evening. The club rose from the second division for this season. Luca’s game would have been short-lived, as the player tried to surround an opponent in the 16th minute after a missed exit. Immediate expulsion.

Rayo Vallecano’s Franco-Spanish goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine Zidane, was sent off in the 16th minute of the match against Sevilla FC, counting for Matchday 1 of the Spanish Championship on Sunday night. Luca Zidane (23) was playing his first La Liga match for Rayo Vallecano, with whom he rode at the end of last season. On Sunday night he fouled Moroccan Sevilla forward Oussama Idrissi, whom he tried to put on to prevent him from scoring. Match referee Isidro Diaz de Mera immediately ruled Zidane out and awarded a penalty, converted by Moroccan Youssef En Nesyri.
Sevilla won the game 3-0.
