English Premier League (EPL) top side, Manchester United and two Spainsih giants, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, are in a heated battle to sign Ghanaian defender, Mohammed Salisu, to their club.
Reports from Spain indicates that, the 13 times EPL champions, Manchester United, are interested in the Ghana star.
It has also emerged that, 13 times UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid are monitoring the defender, who has a 12 million Euros release clause ahead of a potential switch.
Real’s Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid have also established contacts with the 20-year-old who is having an outstanding campaign in La Liga this season, coming from the academy of his current club.
Valladolid sit 15th in the table but Salisu has been their standout performer, winning praise for his solid performances at the back in his 23 appearances.
United – who are plotting a £160m double move for James Maddison and Jack Grealish – could do with cover at center-back even though the pairing of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof now looks pretty solid.
The Ghanaian defender has started every league game this season except against Barcelona at Camp Nou, where he started on the bench but came on after 32 minutes for the injured Nacho.
