Utah Jazz’s Jordan Clarkson has hit out at United States President Donald Trump over his latest comments on COVID-19.
Speaking at a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma last Saturday, Trump said he had asked for COVID-19 testing to be slowed down in the US.
This, the POTUS said, was necessary in order to to lessen the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Although Trump’s tone sounded jovial, it is unknown whether he was serious or intended to cause humor with his comment.
Clarkson, however, didn’t take likely to the President’s comments and slammed him on Twitter.
He described Trump’s comments to “slow down” on testing as “the dumbest s**t” he has ever heard.
Quoting a tweet with the video of Trump making the said comment, the Jazz guard wrote: “Idk what smoke they got in the white house? But this the dumbest shit I heard.”
Meanwhile, the NBA star was not alone in slamming the US President, with many Americans criticizing the manner in which the rally was held.
This was after it emerged that the many people at the rally did not practice any social distancing, while most also did not wear face masks.
