The Pat Connaughton Foundation has completed its first-ever Connaughton Court outside of the United States, located in Rukara Sector, Rwanda, East Africa.
This milestone project, built in partnership with Shooting Touch Rwanda, represents a significant achievement as the Foundation continues to expand its global reach, following three successful Clinics in Ireland last summer.
The project aims to unite communities through basketball and provide young athletes with valuable life skills.
The foundation’s mission is to make sports accessible to student athletes worldwide, teaching essential life skills such as Hard work, Teamwork, Leadership, Accountability, and Discipline.
Shooting Touch, a renowned organization that uses basketball to unite Rwandan communities, partnered with the Pat Connaughton Foundation to bring this project to life. Together, they share a vision of empowering youth through sports and education.
This Rwanda court is the seventh completed project for the Pat Connaughton Foundation, with ten more courts underway.
By investing in youth development and community engagement, Pat Connaughton is inspiring the next generation of leaders.
“I’m thrilled to see our foundation’s mission expanding globally. Basketball has given me so much, and I’m grateful to share its power with young people worldwide,” said NBA Champion Pat Connaughton.
