Raheem Sterling has tested negative for coronavirus after attending Usain Bolt’s birthday party, with the Olympic legend having tested positive for the illness.
Bolt announced on social media on Monday he was self-isolating after testing positive to COVID-19.
Sterling, meanwhile, has returned a negative result after undergoing the test in Jamaica and should have no issues joining Gareth Southgate’s side for international duty for next month’s Nations League fixtures, which is announced at 2pm on Tuesday.
England boss Southgate is to name his squad with Sterling expected to be in it ahead of upcoming Nations League games against Iceland on September 5 and Denmark on September 8.
Athletics icon Bolt had his positive test revealed by Jamaica’s health ministry on Monday. He posted a video on Twitter and said he is not experiencing any symptoms so far.
