Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nasr, scored two goals against Al-Ittihad on Monday. This achievement makes him the player with the most goals in a single season in the Saudi Professional Football League, with a total of 35 goals.
The Saudi Professional League Association posted this news on social media platform (X): “Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the most goals in one season in the history of the Saudi Roshan League (35 goals).”
With this, Ronaldo surpassed the previous record set by Moroccan Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, the current Al-Ittihad striker, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-2019 season while playing for Al-Nasr.
Al-Nasr said on the (X) platform: “Al-Nasr captain Cristiano Ronaldo breaks the Saudi League record as the player who scores the most in one season, and becomes the first player in the history of football to achieve the league’s top scorer award in 4 different leagues.”
