Senegalese striker Sadio Mane has been nominated for Premier League Player of the Season award.
The Liverpool forward was in an electrifying for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the 2019-20 season, helping his side to win the title for the first time in 30 years.
Mane netted 18 times and provided nine assists in 35 league games, besides his other dazzling displays for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Following his performances, he has been shortlisted for the best player prize along with his teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson.
He will also battle Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Southampton striker Danny Ings and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy for the award.
De Bruyne is the only Manchester City player to be nominated for the Player of the Season award after they relinquished their Premier League title to Liverpool following two seasons as champions.
The nominations for the Premier League Manager of the Season shortlist will be released at midday. The winners of the awards will be announced at 10am on Thursday, August 13.
