The Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers faced each other on Tuesday night in the NBA. Both teams have been the surprises of the season so far. The Grizzlies came into this fixture on a 5-game winning streak, while the Cavs maintained a decent 21-16 record in the East.
The game went all the way down the wire with the Grizzlies taking the upper hand in the end. They outplayed the Cavs in the last quarter by 3 points which was enough for the final victory, 106-110.

Darius Garland made his return for Cleveland after being sidelined due to COVID-19. He finished off with 27 points and 10 assists, making him one of the three players of the hosts with a double-double for the night.
Jarrett Allen recorded yet another good performance, racking up 22 points and adding 12 rebounds. Kevin Love was the third player with a double-double, ending the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
There was nobody on Memphis’ side with such an achievement, but Ja Morant was more than enough for them to get their sixth win in a row. The quick point guard wrapped up the night with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jaren Jackson added 22 points on 7-14 shooting for the final win.
The outcome meant that the Grizzlies take on a 6-game winning streak. They further reduced the gap between themselves and the top 3 in the Western Conference. Memphis will have a perfect chance to get as close as possible to Utah as they face the Pistons on Thursday.
The Cavaliers dropped a place in the East as they are now 6th with 21 wins and 17 losses. The team will surely try to battle it out, but their most recent performance signifies red flags. They have won just once in 5 attempts as they go on a tough 4-game road trip in the West. The Cavs will first take on the Blazers, but then they will need to face the Warriors and the Jazz.
