Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan starred at the Paris Diamond League on Friday, finishing second in the women’s 100-metre hurdles.

Amusan clocked a time of 12.24 seconds, her second-fastest time in history and the fastest since she broke the world record (12.12s) at the World Championships in 2022.

The 28-year-old, who also ran her third fastest time in all conditions, clinched her second Diamond League medal of the season, having recently won the 100m hurdles event in Rabat last month.

The world record holder finished just behind American Grace Stark, who ran a personal best and meeting record of 12.21s (0.7) to emerge victorious, becoming the joint fifth fastest woman in history.

Meanwhile, Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent clocked a time of 12.30s to finish third.
