Victor Oladipo Joins ESPN as In-studio NBA Analyst

Former NBA all-star and Indiana Hoosiers legend Victor Oladipo has started his new career as an NBA analyst for ESPN.

Oladipo started in his analyst role on Wednesday night during preseason action on ESPN, basketball fans were happy to see Oladipo on national t.v but couldn’t help but to be a little dissapointed seeing his career end so abruptly.

Oladipo had a stellar career at Indiana playing three seasons there from 2011-2013. After an outstanding junior year in 2012–13, Oladipo won the Sporting News National Player of the Year award.

He averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.2 steals that season while guiding Indiana to its first Big Ten title in eleven years and its first #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in twenty years.

Oladipo left the 2013 season to play in the NBA when the Orlando Magic selected him with the second overall choice in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Oladipo missed 255 of 374 games since 2019 due to knee injuries, tearing his right quad multiple times and then suffering a torn patellar tendon in his left knee in 2023. Before injuries shortened his career, Oladipo was a two-time NBA All-Star, Third-Team All-NBA player, All-Defensive First-Team player, and the NBA’s Most Improved player in 2018.
