The collection features three unique designs that each commemorate significant aspects of Abdul-Jabbar’s life and career. The entire “Evolution of Excellence” collection, in size 16, will be signed by Abdul-Jabbar himself and on display in the arena for every home game throughout the month of February – and raffled off for charity. This week, Abdul-Jabbar paid a courtside visit wearing the adidas Forum Legacy sneaker from the collection and a custom Jeff Hamilton-designed jacket, for the highly-anticipated, ceremonial passing of the torch, giving back to the game that gave him so much for 21 seasons.
