Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies have a Group B place for Egypt 2026, but a replayed extra-time period against Edo Queens must go their way first.
Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies have a second shot at continental glory. They have been drawn into Group B of the CAF Women's Champions League Egypt 2026, though their place is not yet confirmed. The Ghanaian side still has to finish the job in a rescheduled WAFU B final.
The door reopened after the CAF Appeal Board upheld Ampem Darkoa's protest against Edo Queens. That ruling wiped out the Nigerian side's 4-1 penalty shootout win from the original qualifying final, which had ended 2-2 after regulation time. The result was annulled, and the contest now picks up again from the start of extra time with the scores level.
The equation is simple. If Ampem Darkoa win the replayed extra-time period, they will represent the WAFU B Zone in Egypt. They would then face AS FAR of Morocco, USFAS Bamako of Mali and Uganda's Kawempe Muslim Ladies in a Group B that mixes North, West and East African pedigree.
The draw took place in Cairo, and the tournament will run in Egypt from 1 to 15 November 2026. Until the WAFU B decider is played, Ampem Darkoa's name on the Group B sheet is a provisional spot rather than a done deal. They will have to take it on the pitch.
