Ghana's U17 stars have wrapped up their preparations for a Tuesday semi-final against Ivory Coast that could send them to Morocco 2027.
Ghana's Black Starlets are locked in and ready for the biggest night of their WAFU Zone B U17 Championship campaign. The young West African giants finished their preparations on Monday with a final training session at the Salitas Academy Complex in Burkina Faso, one day before a semi-final clash with Ivory Coast.
The stakes could hardly be higher. Kick-off at the 4th August Stadium in Ouagadougou is set for 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, and the winners will not only book a place in the tournament final but also secure a ticket to the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Ghana arrive as Group A winners and still unbeaten, collecting seven points from three matches. The Starlets opened with wins over Togo and Benin, then held hosts Burkina Faso to a goalless draw to protect their record and top the table.
Ivory Coast, meanwhile, advanced as runners-up in Group B. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Nigeria on Saturday, a result that left them behind group leaders Niger. Expect a tight, fiercely contested West African derby, with a continental berth and a shot at the regional title waiting for whoever handles the pressure better.
